ACU ANNOUNCES BRIAN CEDERGREN AS NEW PRESIDENT/CEO

Argonne Credit Union is pleased to announce Brian Cedergren as the new President/CEO. Mr. Cedergren will begin his employment with the credit union on June 4, 2007. When asked about coming to ACU, Brian said, "I am extremely excited for the opportunity to help lead Argonne Credit Union into a future filled with unlimited potential."
Cedergren's Experience at FirstLight Federal Credit Union
Brian Cedergren comes to ACU from FirstLight Federal Credit Union in El Paso, Texas where he has served as the Chief Operations Officer since 2004. As COO, Cedergren serves as back-up to the Chief Executive Officer, and oversees operational functions including branch management, lending, business services, and the Call Center, serving over 88,000 members. Prior to being the COO, Cedergren was the Executive Vice President of Administration for FirstLight, overseeing the accounting, information technology, facilities, and business services divisions.
Brian's Credit Union Career
Mr. Cedergren began his credit union career in 1991, as an Assistant Manager of Mortgage Lending with the Washington State Employees Credit Union in Olympia, Washington. In 1994, he was promoted to Operational Support Manager, and became the Vice President and Chief Information Officer in 1998.

His Education & Training
In 1986, Brian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a minor in Finance, from Washington State University. He has specialized training from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and serves on the CUNA Technology Council. He is a member of the Credit Union Executive Society and served on the Board of Directors for the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) User Group.
On a Personal Note
Brian is married and has three children. He will be relocating to Illinois from El Paso, Texas in the coming months.
